What's new

Fixed a critical issue introduced with a patch

Please note that from this release source code can be downloaded from the 'Source Code' section only (use SVN, VS Team Explorer etc). Uploading the sources via HTTP takes so loooong! :)

VERSION 1.2
Version 1.2 has many more features than version 1.1 and internally has many changes. Find further info on version 1.2 from my blog (http://www.youdev.net/post/2009/03/26/AvalonDock-12-Features-Fixes.aspx)

If you find a bug please ensure you are using the latest version available and try to explain how to reproduce it with as much details as possible.

IMPORTANT
Upgrading to .NET 3.5 SP1 is strictly recommended, especially under Vista.

Installation Notes
Setup installs AvalonDock under VS2005/VS2008.

VS2005 - To properly install AvalonDock into VS2005 toolbox you should have already installed the ToolboxControlsInstaller (TCI) which is included as a redistributable package in the VS2005 SDK (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=51A5C65B-C020-4E08-8AC0-3EB9C06996F4&displaylang=en). If you don't want to install TCI, create a tab in the toolbox, and add AvalonDock controls adding a reference to AvalonDock.dll assembly.
VS2008 - Under VS2008 nothing to do is required because TCI is installed by default, so you should find a toolbox tab named "AvalonDock" containing AvalonDock controls.

Skin & Themes

VERSION 1.2
I made all my best to ensure compatibility with previous version, but so many things are changed internally that probably some minor changes in hosting applications must be taken in count. Also note that this is a BETA version, means that in the near future new versions are uploaded.
There are some features that I decided to not include in this beta but will be available very soon with the final release, among others the #6186.

Rated 5 Stars (out of 5) - This is an invaluable component (I hope that means of great value, because that's what I meant to say, and English is not my primary language). It works very good when you get to know it, even though it may be missing a few events here and there. However, for every issue you can reliably get help in the discussions or the issue tracker and a lot of stuff get's fixed and updated pretty regularly.
