[All versions] Real-time splitter

When a window is docked, it should be possible to allow the splitter to update the window in real time, rather than having a preview. You can do this with the WPF GridSplitter, and the rest of my program works this way, so the AvalonDock splitters feel really out of place when they show a preview when the user drags them.

From what I can tell, this feature isn't already available in AvalonDock, so if it would be possible to include this that would be pretty awesome.

This feature will be implemented in version 2 as it's also required by the Expression-like themes,

Please make this a boolean option to have a real-time splitter or a shadow splitter.


For performance reasons, various grids and Winforms Hosted content is painfully unbearable if constantly attempting to redraw

Yes, I know, splitter preview will be enabled by default.

A beta release should be available by the end of febrary,
