Remembering docked position and state

Hello,

I just started using AvalonDock and I was wondering how I could achieve the following.  After I close some DockableContent, how can I restore it to the location that it was displayed before it got closed?  I would like to have some menu option or checkbox that would bring it back to where it was.

Thanks,

Joel

Hi Joel,
your is an old issue that will be fixed in next coming release v 1.2.
As a general rule, the location occopied by a content before it is closed not always can be obtained easly. For example if you close a DockableContent and than change the layout of the other panes, the best thing one can do is to reposition the hidden content with the old anchor and with the correct size.
If you don't want to add this features by your self, wait for the new version that will be available next week.

Hi Ado,

Thanks for your quick reply.  I'm glad to hear I wasn't missing anything in my code and I can definitely wait for the next version.

Great job on this library, I'm really liking what I've seen so far.  Keep up the good work!

Thanks again,

Joel
