Hide/Show FloatingDocableWindow does not resize

Nice job on the ava dock. I was wondering if anyone else has experience the following: I have a docablepane that I need to display and then hide and redisplay but when I do this the size of the window is half of what it should be. I have tried to change all of the size parameters for the window and it won't resize. Here is some of the code

        <ad:DockingManager Grid.Row="1" x:Name="DockManager" Background="{DynamicResource WindowBackground}" Grid.RowSpan="2" Margin="5.171,-5.032,-5.171,5.032" Grid.ColumnSpan="2">
            <ad:ResizingPanel x:Name="resizingPanel" Orientation="Horizontal">
                <ad:DockablePane x:Name="PEPane" Background="Transparent" Width="500" ad:ResizingPanel.ResizeWidth="500" Margin="10">
                <ad:DockableContent Title="PointEditor" x:Name="pointEditorContent" Width="Auto" DockableStyle="Dockable">
                            <StackPanel x:Name="PEStatckPanel" Margin="0">
                                <local:UserControl1  x:Name="PointEditorControl" />
                            </StackPanel>
                </ad:DockableContent>
                </ad:DockablePane>

...

          DockManager.Hide(pointEditorContent);
          DockManager.Show(dock, AvalonDock.DockableContentState.DockableWindow);
